Did you know that families fleeing violence sometimes arrive at our shelter with only the clothes on their backs? Because of the generosity of donors like you, we are able to provide them with clothing, shoes, toothbrushes, shampoo, diapers, food and other daily living necessities.
In fact, last year donors gave in-kind items to SAFEHOME worth over $380,000, allowing our clients to access daily essentials and to maintain their dignity in what is often a scary and traumatic transition.
If you have items you would like donate to SAFEHOME, please see the chart below to determine the best drop off point. Our wish list is updated regularly to include our most urgent needs.
Please note that we no longer accept used donations at our offices. SAFEHOME is also unable to pick up donations.
If you are donating new store-bought items, new wish list items, gift cards or food, please call our main number at 913-432-9300 to make an appointment to drop off items at SAFEHOME’s Administration Building.
Do you have used clothing, furniture or other household items to donate? We work with several local thrift stores to provide clothing to our clients and ask that you drop off any used donations at one of the stores. Their addresses are listed below.
