SAFEHOME, Johnson County’s domestic violence services provider, is looking for a person with proven organization and communication abilities to join our team as Peer Education Coordinator.
We are seeking someone with strong education and public speaking skills to coordinate the Peer Education program, an award-winning initiative which trains teen volunteers in creating positive social change among their peer groups. The right candidate will have experience working with young people, possess excellent communication skills, and be capable of providing education to large groups.
The Peer Education Coordinator must demonstrate a high degree of knowledge of domestic violence and related issues and experience with public speaking. A bachelor’s degree in education, social work or a related field is preferred.
This is a 10-month-per-year, benefited position with summers off. Summer work opportunities may be available for those who wish to work year round. Benefits include health, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account, Life, LTD and 403b Retirement Plan.
